It's really been awhile since I updated this page. :-) There are now a ton of
Mac MP3 players and encoders out there. I really don't have the time to test everything,
so this page will just have info on the most popular apps.

NOTE:
There isn't a MP3 player for 68k macs. (Although
SoundApp will convert them to another format that you can use.) If you want
to burn an audio CD with your MP3s, I recommend that you use
SoundApp to convert your files to AIFF format and Toast
to control the CD-R drive.

- An excellent free MP3 player/convertor.
Macast 1.0 - Costs $25, but has some
cool features.

4.0 - It doesn't have a playlist, but it comes with the OS.

NOTE:
You only have to remember a few things when making MP3s. Extract from the CD as:
44.1kHz, 16 bit, and stereo. Encode MP3s as: layer 3, 160 kbps, and stereo.

MP 1.6 - A G4 optimized encoder and player that costs $40.
